The first two steps are to lower the power window all the way down and then open the door.

Gently pry off sail panel. Remove entire panel as one by pulling out on the bottom of the door panel and pushing upwards making sure to free the p w switch assembly at the same time. Fits into 8mm hole. Locate the two screws under the door pull handle in the center of the armrest.

Remove the two screws by turning them counterclockwise with a torx t25 star bit screwdriver. Volvo specialty rocker panel moulding clips 31214496 rocker panel moulding clip. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal. Watch out for the speaker and marker lamp electrical wires inside.

I share how to remove rear door panel on my 2009 xc70. Disconnect these as you raise the panel. If this happens to you use a plastic pry bar to pop it out and re install it on the door. I will later install door handle lighting.
