Volkswagen Valet Key Alarm

Certain models namely the touareg and the cc have a hidden plastic key that you will have to pop out using a small button on the side of the fob.

When i unlock the driver side door with either key engine does not start and alarm goes off immediately. I removed the fuses indicated with a key and tried to stat it agian. For some reason the alarm is not disabling today when i put the key in the driver side door. Most volkswagen vehicles use switchblade keys and key fobs.

You must have at least one programmed key fob to program another one to your volkswagen. I only have the valet key. At least all modern vw s. I have lost one master key and one is broken.

Vw made things simple when they designed your volkswagen and its key fob. I think all vw s have keyless entry. Also if you didn t get keyless entry you must be using the service valet key and it might be registered wrong for the vehicle which would set the alarm off. I can open the driver s door without setting it off.

Disabling the alarm does not. Now i just have the valet key to do everything. The alarm will sound when the beetle s door or trunk has been opened before you ve disabled the alarm. Car does not start with either main key or valet.

Put new batteries in it but no go. The door opens but alarm sounds and the car will not star. So my remote and main key got into a washing machine. It starts the car but does not disable the alarm.

Now comes the good part. This system is equipped with an alarm keypad and a chipped key that you can use to control the alarm. It didn t start because it was disabled so i left they key in the on position and plug the fuses back in while the battery was connect and while the key was in the ignition and in the on position and it was fine after that.
